The special designation of “Distinguished Engineer” is an acknowledgment of the key role being played by a technical contributor, whose high level of performance, technical vision, expertise and world-class leadership is instrumental in developing and driving products and standards for 360training. At 360training, this role is expected to be 50% hands-on writing code and 50% oversight, mentoring and governance of a small software development team.

| Duties: | • Expected to be 50% hands-on:
o Write/Implement code – focus on complex algorithms and implementing architectural frameworks.
o Writing unit test cases.
o Writing necessary documentation per SDLC process.
• Expected to be 50% oversight/mentoring/governance of small software development team (1-4 members):
o Assign/task members of software development team.
o Ensure architectural integrity of software products.
o Perform consistent code reviews of team and peers.
o Ensure that team is aligned with the strategic objectives, requirements and Enterprise Architecture of Platform.
o Research and incubate new technologies and frameworks to be used within projects.
o Provide coaching and mentoring to junior members of software development team, peers and other teams within the Engineering Department.
o Work tightly with project managers and Technology Project Management Office to ensure timelines are met and accurate estimates are provided for planning.
o As a member of the Enterprise Architecture Group, work closely with the Chief Architect and other architects to establish best practices, reference implementations, high-level architecture/design and governance models.

| Qualifications: | • 10+ years experience in web application software development.
• 5+ years experience in commercial and enterprise web application development using Java, with a focus on SAAS/SAAP, web applications and web-enablement technologies.
• 3+ years experience as technical lead managing small sized software development teams.
• Experience with minimum two green-field/blue-sky development projects where served as lead developer and architect.
• Experience in leading development teams comprised of very senior Architects and Developers.
• Prior experience in the entire software development life cycle working on large commercial or equivalent software projects.
• Demonstrated experience in building scalable web applications to millions of users.
• Demonstrated success working with remote teams.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a deadline driven environment.
• Ability to work successfully both independently and in a team setting.
• Experience in a dynamic, growing company. Must be adaptable and flexible.
• Excellent written and verbal skills. Must be able to collaborate and work with a diverse team including third party partners and customers.
• Exceptional organizational skills and must be a self-starter. Track record of demonstrating initiative.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, both technically and organizationally.
• Experience in e-Learning a plus.
