360training is a training technology and content company. We are seeking an experienced Applications Architect to join our dynamic team here in Austin. This role is primarily responsible for translating business requirements into software designs and working with other software developers to implement these designs.


Duties:• Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to software development teams.
• Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems.
• Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
• Where applicable, design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated software and systems.
• Assist developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications.
• Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications.
• Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
• Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Manage and/or provide guidance to junior developers and research assistants.
Qualifications:5+ years experience in application software development.
• 3+ years experience in distributed object-oriented application development (e.g., .NET, Web Services, etc.)
• 3+ years experience in commercial application development using C#, SQL, and Web-based UI.
• In depth knowledge of web and client/server technologies and development techniques.
• Prior experience in the entire software development life-cycle working on large commercial or equivalent software projects.
• Familiarity with all development phases such as requirements definition, prototyping, and code complete definitions.
• Understanding of all types of testing such as unit, component, integration, and system testing.
• Understanding of deployment/implementation steps.
• Understanding of documentation required to deliver a software product.
• Demonstrated ability to write detailed design and test documents.
• Demonstrated success working with remote development teams.
• Strong and effective team communication and problem-solving skills and able to work under very little or no supervision.
• Experience in a dynamic, growing company. Must be adaptable and flexible.
• Excellent written and verbal skills. Must be able to collaborate and work with a diverse team including third party partners and customers.
• Exceptional organizational skills and must be a self-starter. Track record of demonstrating initiative.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, both technically and organizationally.
• B.S. CS, EE or related technical degree, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience in e-Learning a plus.
